Young Pianists

Rose.jpgThis course is aimed at the younger pianist, of grade 5 or below. There is a daily one hour workshop with other young pianists of a similar ability covering issues such as scales, sight reading, technical studies and aural will be scheduled.

This is in addition to the three hours of individual lessons that are included as standard in the course.

Shorter courses are available for less experienced but enthusiastic pianists. Please contact the administrator for further details. Due to the unique structure of the course, it is possible to personalise a schedule to suit individual requirements. If you are just starting out as a young pianist and want to experience the course you can come for as little as a few hours to have just a workshop or one lesson. Many parents have found this is exactly what is needed to inspire and motivate.

We welcome pianists from the age of 8 on the course. Most children under the age of 11 will require an adult with them for supervision during the course and need to apply to be an observer on the course.

A quote from a mother of a teenage boy

'He not only feels it is a place he can concentrate on his music, but he has a great social life too.  He thinks he has made his best friends on the course, people with whom he has a great deal in common.'
