Composition

The composition course has proved very popular and this year we welcome some very distinguished composers to the faculty. Participants who wish to study composition will have daily sessions, workshops and individual coaching with Adam Gorb and Gavin Wayte (part one) and David Horne, John McLeod and Gavin Wayte (part two)

 

If you have written any compositions please bring them along together with any recordings you may have. It would be helpful if you could bring manuscript paper, pencils, rubbers etc to the lessons.

In previous years some of the students on the course have had their works performed during the week, making their 'World premiere' very memorable for everyone.

Composition Course for Beginners

The composition course has proved so popular in recent years that extra faculty have always been needed. This year it is possible to take part on the composition course even if you have never tried writing anything! If you have always wanted to try to compose, but didn’t know where to start, then tick the beginners course for composition on the entry form.
