As well as being an experienced concert pianist, Marie-Louise Taylor has
established herself as a highly individual piano teacher with a distinct
teaching style that is based on the principles of the Alexander
Technique.  Marie-Louise studied Alexander Technique under Don Weed and
Estella Caudwell and having attended many hours of workshops and seminars, she
has a high level of success in helping students in all aspects of technique
with particular attention to difficulties with tension.  She has taught
piano for music schools  and colleges around the country including the
Birmingham Conservatoire, the Royal Northern College of Music, the Royal Welsh
College of Music, Birmingham University and has been on the staff of Chethamís
School of Music since 2004.



Having studied piano at the Royal Academy of Music, and later on scholarship
to Hungary, Marie-Louise has worked with singers and instrumentalists
nationwide.  She has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician in venues
around the country including Wigmore Hall and St John Smiths Square in London,
Royal Holloway College, Reading Arts Centre, the Tenby Festival, Bromsgrove
Artrix Centre, Shrewsbury Arts Centre, the Adrian Boult Hall and CBSO Centre,
Midland Arts Centre in Birmingham, Royal Welsh College as well as Whiteley Hall
at Chethamís School of Music and has appeared on BBC Radio 3.
